.DISCUSSION...
Red Flag Warning will remain in effect until 9 PM this evening for
the Far Southern Texas Panhandle, South Plains, and portions of the
Rolling Plains as strong southwesterly winds and warm temperatures
continue.
Critical fire weather conditions are expected for areas on the
Caprock tomorrow due to strong winds, warm temperatures and dry
conditions. West to southwesterly winds are expected to ramp up
tomorrow afternoon with speeds of 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40
mph. Warmer than normal temperatures will also continue tomorrow. A
dryline is progged to develop along the I-27 corridor early tomorrow
keeping western portions dry with minimum RH values as low as 11
percent. A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for the far southern
Texas Panhandle and the South Plains from 10 AM to 9 PM tomorrow.
