Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.7 inch high over the Southern Plains this morning
weakens as it slides east today, resulting in 30.4 inch ridging
over the lake weakening to 30.1 inches by Thursday morning. A 29.7
inch low moving through Hudson Bay Thursday pulls a trough of at
least 29.9 inches through Lake Superior Thursday into Friday.
29.8 inch troughing lingers over the lake Saturday while a
weakening 29.6 inch low moves through the Northern Plains. This
low moves through the Upper Great Lakes Sunday night at 29.8
inches while a 30.5 inch high builds into the Canadian Prairies.
The high then builds into the Plains Monday as troughing weakens
to 30.0 inches over Lake Superior.
