711 FZUS63 KMQT 130204 CCA GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior...CORRECTED National Weather Service Marquette MI 1004 PM EDT Sun Oct 12 2025 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... 29.8 inch troughing remains over Lake Superior the rest of this evening into Monday morning as a 29.1 inch low over southwest Manitoba continues northeast to Hudson Bay tonight through Monday, gradually weakening to 29.5 inches as it does so. A 30.5 inch high builds in over the Canadian Prairies Monday night into Tuesday, shifting east to the Great Lakes and northern Ontario by Wednesday at around 30.3 inches. Ridging weakens to 30.0 inches over Lake Superior through Thursday as troughing develops over the Plains and the parent high shifts east. Thursday night through Friday, a 29.4 inch low develops over the Northern Plains and lifts near to Lake Winnipeg. This low is projected to bring 29.6 inch troughing over Lake Superior Friday and Friday night.
