Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.1 inch low will move southeast across Lake
Superior today and to near the Mackinac Strait by this evening. A
30.4 inch high pressure ridge from Manitoba this evening will
then shift southeast across the Upper Great Lakes Saturday night
into Sunday. Ridging over the region weakens to 30.0 inches Monday
as a low pressure at 29.7 inches tracks across northern Ontario.
This low drags weak 29.7 inch troughing across the lake Tuesday
before a deeper low pressure tracks northeast from the southern
Plains into the Great Lakes midweek.
