Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
1000 PM EST Fri Nov 28 2025

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...

30.4 inch ridging remains over Lake Superior through early Saturday
while a 29.7 inch low develops over the Colorado Front Range. This
low will maintain intensity as it tracks from the South Plains into
southern Lower Michigan by Sunday morning and then into southern
Quebec by Sunday evening, sending a 30.0 inch trough over the
eastern half of Lake Superior on Sunday. In its wake, 30.6 inch high
pressure moves over the Upper Midwest, sliding south of the Great
Lakes at 30.5 inches on Monday. The high will weaken Tuesday into
Wednesday as 29.7 inch low pressure moves across Ontario and a 29.5
inch Nor`Easter develops over the Mid Atlantic.
