Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS... A sprawling 30.3 inch high pressure is currently
over the western Great Lakes region. As the high weakens to 30.2
inches while moving to the Lower Great Lakes by Monday evening, a
29.6 inch low will develop over the Northern Plains. This low will
deepen to 29.4 inches while lifting into northern Ontario by
Tuesday evening. An associated 29.7 inch trough will sweep across
Lake Superior Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. In its wake, a
29.9 inch high pressure ridge will shift east, reaching the
western Great Lakes on Thursday. A 29.7 inch low pressure
organizing over the Plains on Thursday will then track to the
western Great Lakes region on Friday.
