DISCUSSION:

A few light showers will linger across the region for the rest of
the afternoon, but any accumulation will be well under 0.10 inches.

Dry conditions should follow tonight through Tuesday, except for
some rain and snow showers tonight on the northern slopes of the
interior mountains bordering Kern County. Another storm system will
move into the region in the middle of next week. Early rainfall
estimates indicate the storm to show rainfall amounts between 1 and
2 inches across the coast and valleys with up to 2 to 4 inches in
the mountains (30% chance for double these totals) for Los Angeles
and Ventura County. For San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties,
2 to 4 inches across coasts and valleys with 4 to 8 inches across
mountains and foothills will be possible (with a 20% chance of
double these amounts).
