...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TUESDAY TO 5
AM PDT MONDAY, JULY 08...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 100 to
  110 expected, and upwards of 105 to 115 expected over interior
  valleys and foothills including the Antelope Valley.

* WHERE...Portions of interior Southern California.

* WHEN...From 11 AM Tuesday to 5 AM PDT Monday, July 08.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING
THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING, JULY 08...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 95 to
  105 possible, and upwards of 105 to 110 possible over valleys well
  away from the coast.

* WHERE...Portions of the coastal ranges, foothills, and valleys of
  Southern California.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through early Monday morning, July
  08.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very warm to hot conditions will have the
  potential to bring significant heat impacts to the coast. Heat
  headlines may need to be expanded to include a larger portion of
  Southern California in later forecasts.
