Sal to Santa Cruz Island CA and westward 60 nm including San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands- Outer waters from Santa Cruz Island to San Clemente Island to 60 NM offshore including San Nicolas and Santa Barbara Islands- 1242 PM PDT Thu Sep 19 2024 ...ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH AT LEAST FRIDAY MORNING... An upper-level low pressure system will bring the risk for isolated to scattered thunderstorms across the coastal waters through late tonight for the waters north of Point Conception. For the waters south of Point Conception, the threat of thunderstorms increases this evening, and storms may occur through the late morning tomorrow. Any thunderstorm that forms will be capable of producing locally gusty and erratic winds, rough seas, dangerous cloud to surface lightning, heavy rainfall with reduced visibility, and waterspouts.
