...MODERATE TO LOCALLY STRONG NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS OVER THE
SOUTHERN COASTAL WATERS AND EAST FACING HARBORS THROUGH NOON
TODAY...

Winds have mostly subsided below Gale Warning thresholds, but
Small Craft Advisory winds are expected through early afternoon.
Locally stronger winds may occur, especially nearshore from Oxnard
to Malibu. Avalon Harbor may see gusty east to northeast winds
exceeding Small Craft Advisory levels along with breaking waves up
to 7 feet and minor coastal flooding through early afternoon.
Seas may remain steep and hazardous during this period.

These conditions have a history of vessel damage and loss of
life. Mariners should avoid these areas, or remain in safe harbor
until conditions improve. Avalon Harbor should NOT be considered
safe harbor during this event.
