...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard...

Expect very warm and very dry conditions to continue through the
rest of today, Thursday, with afternoon high temperatures upwards
of 10 to 20 degrees above normal. As afternoon temperatures reach
well into the 80s to the lower 90s today, minimum relative humidity
will range from the single digits to the teens amid the dry air
mass. Gusty offshore winds from 20 to 40 mph will affect the region
through the rest of today, before winds weaken going into Friday
and this weekend. Despite the dry and breezy conditions, neither
elevated nor critical fire-weather conditions are expected owing to
recent precipitation.

Cooler conditions, and rising humidity values, will return on Friday
through this weekend, as a weather disturbance moves across the
region. Some generally light precipitation will be possible at the
end of this week into the weekend in association with this weather
disturbance. There will be a slight chance for thunderstorms this
weekend. The unsettled weather pattern is expected to persist into
next week, with cool conditions and occasional precipitation
affecting the region. Neither elevated nor critical fire-weather
conditions are expected.

NOTE: On Saturday, February 22, NWS WFO Los Angeles/Oxnard entered
the off-season fire weather schedule (one fire weather planning
forecast issued by 330 PM Monday through Friday, and by 930 AM on
Mondays and/or the first day following any federal holiday).
However, spot forecasts will be available upon request at any time
24/7. In addition, if critical fire weather conditions occur we
will restore normal fire weather season operations.
