.DISCUSSION...
Some lingering moisture remains from yesterday`s storm system that
moved easts of our region. This moisture combined with some daytime
heating has resulted in isolated showers across LA and Ventura
counties this afternoon. There is also some gusty northwest to north
winds across the region today, strongest in the mountains and southern
Santa Barbara county where gusts of 25 to 45 mph have been common.
For Saturday through Sunday, high pressure will build over the area.
This will bring a warming and drying trend to all areas. No significant
winds are expected through the weekend with just diurnal winds developing.

The storm system that is expected to impact the region Monday into early
Tuesday looks to be tracking south away from us/ Beginning Monday and
continuing through most of next week, additional storms will impact the
region. The first storm will impact the area on Monday and Tuesday with a
second storm following behind for Wednesday and Thursday. Initial rainfall
estimates for the first storm are generally under 0.50 inches. For the
second storm, more significant rainfall is expected with widespread amounts
of 1 to 2 inches for many coastal and valley areas, and 2 to 4 inches
in the foothills an mountains. In addition, there will be the potential
for heavy mountain snow, strong winds, and low snow level
