.DISCUSSION...
For today, the flow has shifted to the northeast, mainly focusing on eastern
Ventura county and western LA county, where wind gusts of 20 to 40 mph will
continue through mid afternoon. This coupled with humidities between 10 and
20 percent will bring widespread elevated to brief critical fire weather
conditions across the mountains and valleys of eastern Ventura county
and western LA county today.
There is the potential for a significant storm system that could bring
widespread rain to the region between Monday night and Tuesday.
The latest projections have rainfall rates increasing, with a chance of
strong thunderstorms (mainly from Ventura county northward), resulting in the
potential for minor flooding/debris flows in recent burn scars, as well
as roadway flooding.
