.DISCUSSION...

No precipitation is expected today or during the day on Friday as
high pressure will be building into the area. Though, cloud cover
today will be increasing through the morning before attempting to
scatter out this afternoon. Winds today will start off out of the
west-southwest, but will become northwesterly towards late morning
and midday as a frontal boundary moves through the area. Winds
will also increase in magnitude behind the boundary with gusts in
the 25-30 mph expected this afternoon.

While winds will subside overnight, gusts will return by mid-
morning on Friday as we mix into a strong jet aloft. The current
forecast calls for gusts around 30 mph, however; if deeper mixing
is achieved gusts could very easily be in excess of 35-40 mph.
Regardless, temperatures will be warming into the upper 30s to
lower 40s courtesy of the southwesterly winds with minimum RH
values around 80-90 percent.

Our next chance for precipitation is not expected until Friday
night where a mix of rain and snow is possible mainly along and
southeast of I-55.
