Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Northern IL and Northwest IN
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville IL
434 AM CDT Sun Jun 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will keep dry and seasonably cool conditions in play
for today and Monday. However, the northerly winds today will be
on the breezy side with gusts in the 20-25 mph range through this
afternoon. Winds will subside this evening as directions become
southeasterly during the day on Monday. The combination of low
humidity, ample sunshine, and deep mixing will also generate
minimum RH values in the 30-40% range Monday afternoon.

Our next chance for showers and thunderstorms will arrive late
Monday night into Tuesday, especially for areas north of I-88.
Additional periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected at
times through Friday with otherwise typical summer warmth and
humidity.
