Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Northern IL and Northwest IN
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville IL
350 PM CDT Sun Sep 29 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Cloud cover will continue to diminish this evening as the upper
low to our south moves east setting up a warm but sunny afternoon
for Monday. However, a dry cold front is expected to move through
the area on Tuesday which will lead to reduced RH values for
Tuesday and Wednesday. In fact, minimum RH values are forecast to
be in the 20-30 percent range for both Tuesday and Wednesday.
While winds will become breezy (gusts of 20-25 mph) out of the
northwest on Tuesday, lighter winds are expected for Wednesday
which should keep conditions below Red Flag criteria. Otherwise,
expect the dry and near seasonable conditions to prevail through
the end of the week.
