635 FZUS61 KBUF 100911 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 411 AM EST Fri Jan 10 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A ridge of high pressure averaging 30.3 inches will then build into the Ohio Valley and lower Great Lakes today. A 29.5 inch low will then move from the Southeast States tonight to off the Mid Atlantic coast Saturday as a weak trough to the north of the low crosses the lower Great Lakes. A 30.2 inch high will move into the Ohio Valley Sunday. A 29.7 inch low will then track across the central Great Lakes Sunday night and Monday before passing north of the lake on Tuesday.
