590 FZUS61 KBUF 022030 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 430 PM EDT Tue Sep 2 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 30.1 inch high over the eastern Great Lakes and Northeast will gradually weaken while slowly drifting off the New England coast by Thursday morning. Meanwhile, a 29.5 inch low over western Ontario Province Wednesday will spin about to the west of James Bay through Friday before slowly making its` way to James Bay Friday night, then to northern Quebec Saturday...with an initial trailing cold front crossing the Lake Thursday...and a secondary cold front following sometime between Friday and Saturday.
