Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana
National Weather Service Louisville KY
346 PM EDT Sat Apr 26 2025

.DISCUSSION...Low stratus clouds will continue to scatter this evening as
drier air filters in from the north. High pressure centered over Wisconsin
this afternoon will move to the east tonight into tomorrow, causing winds
to veer from northerly to easterly for the day on Sunday. Mid- and high-level
clouds will increase late tonight into the day on Sunday, limiting mixing
potential. Clouds will gradually build downward through the day as a mid-level
disturbance approaches from the west. There is a slight chance for a few light
rain showers across southwest Indiana and western Kentucky Sunday afternoon
and evening; however, confidence in this is only low-to-medium, and showers
shouldn`t be too impactful.
