FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Breezy northerly winds are expected today between weakening low
pressure passing by well to the south and high pressure around
30.5 inches building in from the west. Winds will become lighter
tonight under the high.

Winds will then shift to the south by Monday afternoon, as the
high heads eastward ahead of an approaching low. The low around
29.7 inches will track from Minnesota to Sault Ste. Marie Monday
night through Tuesday morning. A period of southerly gales up to
35 knots is looking more likely during this time, with gusts up to
40 knots possible over far northern Lake Michigan.

The next low around 29.1 inches will track across central
Wisconsin Tuesday night and reach southern Ontario by midday
Wednesday. Gales are possible for the south half of the lake
during this time.

4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.TONIGHT...North winds 10 to 20 kt diminishing to 5 to 10 kt
after midnight, then backing to west late. Chance of snow
overnight. Waves 3 to 5 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.MONDAY...Southwest winds 10 to 15 kt becoming south to 30 kt.
Chance of snow in the afternoon. Waves 1 to 2 ft building to 4 to
7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.MONDAY NIGHT...Southwest gales to 45 kt. Chance of snow in the
evening, then snow overnight. Waves 12 to 16 ft occasionally to
21 ft.
.TUESDAY...West gales to 35 kt diminishing to 30 kt. Snow likely
in the morning, then chance of snow and rain in the afternoon.
Waves 10 to 14 ft occasionally to 18 ft subsiding to 6 to 9 ft
occasionally to 12 ft.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...South winds 15 to 25 kt backing to east to
30 kt. Snow and rain. Waves 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft
building to 8 to 12 ft occasionally to 16 ft.
.WEDNESDAY...North winds to 30 kt. Chance of snow and rain
likely. Waves 8 to 11 ft occasionally to 14 ft subsiding to 7 to
10 ft occasionally to 13 ft.
.THURSDAY...Northwest winds 10 to 20 kt. Chance of snow. Waves
2 to 4 ft.

.MONDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 kt increasing to 10 to 20 kt
late in the morning, then becoming south early in the afternoon
increasing to 15 to 25 kt late. Waves 2 to 4 ft building to 4 to
7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.MONDAY NIGHT...South gales to 35 kt becoming southwest gales to
40 kt. Chance of snow in the evening, then snow likely overnight.
