.SYNOPSIS...Dry conditions will persist through the weekend with
above normal temperatures continuing. Near record high
temperatures are possible across central Nevada for Sunday. Winds
will remain light.

&&

.SHORT TERM...Tonight through Sunday night. Skies are mostly sunny
this afternoon. Winds will remain light with occasional gusts
to 15 mph in the afternoon. Look for quiet conditions through the
overnight with mainly clear skies and lows in the 40s.

High pressure will continue to remain in control of northern and
central Nevada`s weather for Sunday and Sunday night. Winds will
remain on the light side with warm temperatures that will be 10 to
15 degrees above normal. Readings will be in the 70s and 80s. Near
record temperatures are possible over Ely airport with the
current record being 83 set back in 2020. At Tonopah airport, the
current record for Oct 6 is 87 degrees set back in 1980. Clear
skies and quiet conditions will continue into the night with lows
in the 40s.

.LONG TERM...Monday through next Saturday

A weak trough of low pressure could bring isolated showers mainly
over the northern NV Monday afternoon and evening. Otherwise,
high pressure anchored over the intermountain west will continue
to bring warm and dry conditions to CWA into mid next week. Highs
will be in the 70s and 80s with overnight lows in the 40s under
partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.

A change in the weather pattern will get underway Friday as
ensemble solutions are slowly coming into an agreement with a
stronger Pacific trough advancing eastward. A lack of moisture
will limit probability of rain to about 10%. Temperatures are
expected to be much cooler Friday through the weekend with highs
in the 60s and 70s and lows near freezing. Winds will be breezy
out the south to southwest during the afternoon with locally
higher gusts of 20 mph possible.

&&

.AVIATION...VFR conditions continuing through Sunday afternoon. No
shower or thunderstorm activity expected at any terminal. Some
wind gusts in the 15-25KT range expected at KEKO and KELY Saturday
afternoon before dropping back to 5-10KT at all sites overnight
Saturday.

winds of 7 to 12 mph each afternoon. Relative humidity recoveries
