TERREBONNE PARISH THROUGH 145 PM CDT
...

At 119 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas along a line
extending from Dulac to 8 miles south of Cocodrie. These storms were
nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Waterspouts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous waters.

Dulac, Cocodrie, Tambour Bay Buoy, Lumcon Center Buoy, and Timbalier
Bay Buoy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
