A band of miniature supercells in a very moist/tropical environment formed along a confluent boundary across southern Tangipahoa Parish in the morning on October 6th between 3-6am CDT. These supercells went on to produce at least 3 tornadoes across the southern half of Tangipahoa Parish. There may be further updates/additions at a later date as more data gets looked at (i.e. satellite) in the future. .Tickfaw, LA EF-1 Tornado... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 7.32 miles Path Width /maximum/: 75 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 10/06/2025 Start Time: 03:59 AM CDT Start Location: 2 NE Hammond / Tangipahoa Parish / LA Start Lat/Lon: 30.5322 / -90.4305 End Date: 10/06/2025 End Time: 04:14 AM CDT End Location: 3 E Independence / Tangipahoa Parish / LA End Lat/Lon: 30.6354 / -90.4594 Survey Summary: An EF-1 tornado touched down on the northwest side of the Hammond Northshore Regional Airport just before 4am CDT where patches of large branches were snapped. The tornado continued to the north- northwest across highways 443 and 1064 where it maintained EF- 0 strength by snapping small branches. The tornado remained over rural parts of northern Hammond while steadily picking up strength. The tornado was nearing peak intensity as it approached the intersection of Faller Rd and Tycer Ln at 4:06am where a house lost an awning and parts of its roof. The tornado finally reach peak intensity at as it continued to the north-northwest and approaches the intersection of Faller Rd and McManus Dr. Here, a hardwood tree was snapped in the middle. The tornado maintained this peak intensity as it approached Highway 442 where a few more hardwood trees were snapped. The tornado began weakening after this point as is continued to make its way to the north-northwest and across the Tangipahoa River. As it crossed the river, it practically paralleled S Bennett Rd in Independence, LA where it mainly snapped large branches until it lifted shortly before Highway 40 at 4:14am. .Loranger, LA EF-0 Tornado... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 70 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.60 miles Path Width /maximum/: 50 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 10/06/2025 Start Time: 04:57 AM CDT Start Location: 4 N Robert / Tangipahoa Parish / LA Start Lat/Lon: 30.5704 / -90.3416 End Date: 10/06/2025 End Time: 05:04 AM CDT End Location: 7 N Robert / Tangipahoa Parish / LA End Lat/Lon: 30.6081 / -90.3403 Survey Summary: A brief EF-0 touched down just north of Highway 445 on Bailey Loop Rd in Loranger, LA at 4:57am CDT where it broke off patches of large branches. This tornado continued due northward into forested areas of Loranger before making it to Bradford Ln at 5:04am. Here, more patches of small and large branches were broken before the tornado lifted along Highway 40 still at 5:04am. .South Robert, LA EF-1 Tornado... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.42 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 10/06/2025 Start Time: 05:11 AM CDT Start Location: 6 SSE Robert / Tangipahoa Parish / LA Start Lat/Lon: 30.4227 / -90.296 End Date: 10/06/2025 End Time: 05:21 AM CDT End Location: 4 SE Robert / Tangipahoa Parish / LA End Lat/Lon: 30.4698 / -90.2867 Survey Summary: An EF-1 touched down south of Robert, LA at 5:11am CDT along Traino Rd where a few small limbs were snapped. The tornado quickly gained strength as it moved north towards Highway 22. The tornado reached peak intensity as a 90mph EF-1 at 5:14am along Highway 20 just east of the Fairhope Subdivision where a group of softwood trees were snapped. This tornado maintained peak intensity as it continued northward towards Crown Dr at 5:18am. Here more softwood trees were snapped and a roof was partially removed from a manufactured home. The tornado began to weaken and occlude as it moved to the northeast. The tornado broke small limbs and caused small trees to lean in a convergent pattern before lifting at 5:21am just southwest of Jasper Ln south of Robert, LA. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the events and publication in NWS Storm Data.
