...NWS Damage Survey for 10/26/25 Tornado Event - Update #1...

.Update...
Using high-resolution satellite imagery, the paths of all
previously surveyed tornadoes have been refined, including
adjusting start and end points as necessary. The maximum wind
speed of the Gautier tornado was also adjusted upward slightly
based on newly received damage pictures where cleanup had already
taken place before the ground survey was conducted. Two additional
tornadoes were also identified in the high-resolution satellite
imagery - an EF-1 tornado in Terrebonne Parish near Humphreys, and
a an EF-0 within the Pascagoula River basin north of Gautier in
Jackson County.

.Tornado #1 - Whitehall, LA...

Survey Summary:
An EF-0 tornado crossed Bear Island Road south of Hwy 22, causing
damage mostly to trees. One home suffered minor roof damage, and
a large metal canopy was thrown about 25 to 40 yard to the
southeast. High resolution satellite imagery helped to identify
the start and end of this tornado over the inaccessible marsh
areas where defoliation and minor tree damage were evident. The
marsh damage was also collocated with an evident tornado debris
signature on KHDC radar imagery.

.Tornado #2 - Rural Terrebonne Parish - Newly confirmed...

Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph
Path Length /statute/: 7.79 miles

End Lat/Lon: 29.6018 / -90.8712

Survey Summary:
The damage path of an EF-1 tornado was identified via high
resolution satellite imagery over inaccessible rural marsh areas
of Terrebonne Parish, southwest of Humphreys, LA. This tornado
began southwest of Blue Bird Canal where a defined, but weak path
of damage to marsh vegetation was evident. The marsh damage
continued northeast across Blue Bird Canal, narrowly missing
fishing camps, and was collocated with a strong tornado vortex
signature on KHDC radar imagery. The tornado intensified as it
crossed the Intracoastal Waterway and Lake Hackberry with
numerous displaced trees evident along a canal and maximum path
width around 250 yards. This was collocated with a tornado debris
signature that was identified on Climavision V014 radar imagery.
The tornado continued northeast and quickly weakened which is
corroborated by KHDC and Climavision radar imagery. The tornado
evidently lifted prior to reaching structures along Bayou Black
Drive in Humphreys.

.Tornado #3 - Hammond, LA...

End Location: 5 NNW Robert / Tangipahoa Parish / LA
End Lat/Lon: 30.5749 / -90.381

Survey Summary:
An EF-1 tornado was confirmed by NWS ground survey northeast of
Hammond, LA in Tangipahoa Parish. The ground survey first noted
damage near River Rd and Arbuthnott Drive. The tornado moved
generlaly northward to the east of River Rd causing additional
damage mostly to trees. The strongest damage surveyed was along
Dummyline Rd where it snapped several large trees, before the
tornado crossed the Tangipahoa River. It then caused additional
tree damage and destroyed a tent on the grounds of Camp Living
Waters. Remote survey techniques utilizing high-resolution
satellite imagery identified additional damage just north of
Dusty Ln between Diana Ln and Calmes Ln, as a start point. The
same imagery also indicated the tornado continued past the cap
ground, causing tree damage near Robert Perkins Rd, and gradually
weakening and lifting as it approached Chappepeela Rd.

.Tornado #4 - Gautier, MS...

Rating: EF1
Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph
Path Length /statute/: 4.50 miles
Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards
Fatalities: 0
Injuries: 0

Start Date: 10/27/2025
Start Time: 09:22 AM CDT
Start Location: 1 S Gautier / Jackson County / MS
Start Lat/Lon: 30.373 / -88.6438

End Date: 10/27/2025
End Time: 09:39 AM CDT
End Location: 3 N Gautier / Jackson County / MS
End Lat/Lon: 30.4341 / -88.6326

Survey Summary:
An EF-1 tornado was confirmed by NWS ground survey teams in
Gautier, MS. The tornado touched down east of Ladnier Rd near
Bacot Park where it stripped flashing off of apartments and broke
large tree limbs as it moved northward. It caused minor damage on
Connie Circle where it displaced a tree. This early damage, while
intermittent aligns with a weak tornado debris signature in KMOB
radar data. The tornado then began to intensify and reached an
initial peak of EF-1 strength just south of US Hwy 90 causing
substantial damage to a restaurant and a concentrated area of tree
damage. The tornado moved northward across US Hwy 90 causing tree
damage on the campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community
College. It weakened to EF-0 intensity and continued to cause
minor damage to homes and trees as it moved from the Northwood
Hills community through Westgate Parkway. The tornado continued to
move northeastward and restrengthened as it approached Martin
Bluff Road. In this area it caused roof damage to several
buildings in the Bayou Village Apartments complex. In the Glenmark
Apartments complex, the tornado destroyed a large wood- frame
shed, shifted a small outbuilding from its foundation, and caused
roof damage to several buildings. It also caused roof damage and
the collapse of the parapet wall facade on two buildings at the
Riverbend Condominiums in the same area. The tornado crossed
Martin Bluff Road causing increasingly isolated tree and roof
damage across Victoria Dr and Courtney St. The ground survey was
unable to access reas north of Courtney St. However, high-
resolution satellite imagery indicates the tornado caused a narrow
swath of tree damage in the forrested area between Courtney St.
and I-19. A Mississippi Department of Transportation traffic
camera showed the tornado lifting as it approached Interstate 10.

.Tornado #5 - Pascagoula River Basin - Newly confirmed...

Rating: EF0
Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph
Path Length /statute/: 5.61 miles
Path Width /maximum/: 125 yards
Fatalities: 0
Injuries: 0

Start Date: 10/26/2025
Start Time: 09:41 AM CDT

End Date: 10/26/2025
End Time: 09:56 AM CDT
End Location: 2 NW Escatawpa / Jackson County / MS
End Lat/Lon: 30.519 / -88.5772

Survey Summary:
The damage path of an EF-0 tornado was identified via high-
resolution satellite analysis east of the Hickory Hills
neighborhood in Jackson County, MS. This tornado succeeded the
Gautier tornado which lifted before crossing I-10. The storm
recycled and quickly produced this subsequent tornado as it moved
into the Pascagoula River Basin. Evident vegetation scarring in
the marsh and damage to trees was visible in the high-resolution
satellite imagery and peaked around 125 yards in width. The
tornado continued northeast where a tornado debris signature
became evident in KMOB radar data. The debris signature continued
as the tornado gradually weakened over the river basin. The
tornado is estimated to have lifted over the Pascagoula River
Basin near Clark Bayou and west of Hwy 63. No structural damage
was evident with this tornado damage path.

The tornado touched down near Arlington Elementary School and
moved northeastward causing generally minor damage to trees and a
few residential roofs. The tornado was strongest as it approached
Old Mobile Ave, where it uprooted several trees in a convergent
pattern on the south side of the road near the intersection with
Chateau Dr. As the tornado approached the north side of the
Briarwood subdivision along Arrowhead Dr, it began to occlude,
taking turn to the north and then northwest as it approached
Industrial Ave. It then crossed Hwy 90 and lifted as it
