  Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to

At 635 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from Eugene Island 189 to 12 nm
northwest of Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River. The
thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe
harbor immediately until this activity passes.
