Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River out 20 nm... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island Louisiana out 20 to 60 NM... At 945 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak waterspouts. This thunderstorm was located 15 nm east of Pilottown, moving northeast at 15 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes. Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on alert in case warnings are issued for waterspout development. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency.
