Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
228 AM CST Fri Jan 10 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A low pressure system and surface front will move through the
region later this morning. With the low, surface winds will
increase with gusts to 20-30mph at times. However, rainfall is
expected to spread across the region with rainfall amounts
ranging from 1 to 3 inches. This will limit critical fire weather
conditions. Dry and colder air will move back into the region
behind the front this weekend, however, relative humidity values
above critical thresholds and decreasing winds will limit critical
fire weather concerns behind the front.
