Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
137 PM CST Sun Nov 30 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A front will move through the area today with light rain
gradually diminishing. At this time, best chances of rain will be
for areas generally along and west of I-55, however isolated
light rain and drizzle could extend east across coastal MS later
this afternoon before all activity dissipates. The next storm
system introduces more widespread rain across the area late
Monday into Monday night, before departing around daybreak
Tuesday. Behind this front, much colder/drier air will filter
into the region providing drier minimum relative humidity values
into the 40`s and 50`s Wednesday with a few areas below
40 percent in interior coastal MS and SW MS.
