Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue
through Wednesday. The best chance for rain will be late morning
through the afternoon hours. Outside of rain RH values will
remain elevated through Wednesday with minimum RH values 55 to
65 percent and winds will generally be light. Daily seabreeze and
lakebreeze boundaries can be expected near coastal areas,
allowing for wind shifts to follow. Drier air will arrive late
Wednesday and remain in place for at least the first half of the
holiday weekend. Minimum RH values will decrease to between
40 and 50 percent from Thursday through Saturday. Moisture and
increased rain chances will return by next week and minimum RH
values will rise back to between 55 and 65 percent. For Southwest
Mississippi, patchy light fog is possible around sunrise tomorrow
morning. Fog formation is most likely to occur after 5 am and the
fog should clear by 8 am.
