Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1246 PM CDT Mon Aug 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Winds will continue to stay light and variable through the
period. Deeper tropical moisture is currently moving back into
the region from an easterly wave over the southeast Gulf. This
will enhance rain chances through midweek. Beyond this timeframe,
high pressure will begin to move back into the region, which will
lower rain chances. RH values will remain above 50 percent. With
the lackluster winds, high RH values, and rain chances critical
fire weather conditions are not expected through the new
workweek.
