Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
1226 PM CDT Sun Aug 24 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A weak frontal boundary will slowly sag southward through the
area this weekend. A few showers and storms could fire up on this
boundary, otherwise it will bring slightly drier air into the
area and lower chances of showers and storms behind the boundary.
Winds will remain fairly light and min RH values should remain
well above any critical criteria.
