...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Louisiana...

  Mississippi River At Baton Rouge affecting West Baton Rouge and
  East Baton Rouge Parishes.

  Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting East Baton Rouge,
   Pointe Coupee and West Feliciana Parishes.

  Mississippi River At Donaldsonville affecting Ascension Parish.

For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, Baton
Rouge, Donaldsonville, Reserve, New Orleans...Major flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY, MAY 04...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.

* WHEN...Until Sunday, May 04.

* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, The grounds of the older part of Louisiana
  State University`s campus become soggy. This includes the area
  around the Veterinary Medicine building, the Veterinary Medicine
  Annex, the stadium and ball fields. The city of Baton Rouge and
  the main LSU campus are protected by levees at this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 36.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 40.5
    feet Friday, April 25. It will then fall below flood stage
    Sunday, May 04.
  - Flood stage is 35.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing.

* WHEN...Until Monday, May 05.

* IMPACTS...At 58.0 feet, Angola farmland on the left bank becomes
  inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 54.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 57.5
    feet Friday, April 25. It will then fall below flood stage
    Monday, May 05.
  - Flood stage is 48.0 feet.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon to Saturday, May 03.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 25.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Sunday afternoon to a crest of 29.5 feet Saturday,
    April 26. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday, May
    03.
  - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
