For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure briefly fills in today before a low
pressure system, 29.20 inches, pivots over Lake Michigan tonight.
The system then lifts into The Straits on Friday offering
widespread gusts to gales for Lake Huron. Potential exists for
some showers, mainly over the northern half of Lake Huron.

...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

.TODAY...West winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots
in the afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
.TONIGHT...Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming south 15 to
20 knots early in the morning. Showers after midnight. Waves 3 to
5 feet.
.FRIDAY...South winds 20 to 25 knots veering to the west early in
the afternoon. Gusts to 40 knot gales. Showers. Waves 8 to
12 feet. Waves occasionally around 15 feet.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...West winds 15 to 20 knots. Gusts to 35 knot gales
early in the evening. A chance of showers in the evening. Waves
10 to 14 feet subsiding to 5 to 7 feet in the late evening and
overnight. Waves occasionally around 18 feet.
.SATURDAY...West winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northwest 5 to
10 knots late in the evening. A chance of showers. Waves 3 to
5 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet late in the evening.
.SUNDAY...West winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northwest 10 to
15 knots. A chance of showers early in the morning. Waves 1 to
3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet until early morning.
.MONDAY...West winds 5 to 10 knots backing to the southwest until
early morning. Waves 2 feet or less.

15 knots in the late evening and overnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet
building to 2 to 4 feet early in the morning.

the late morning and early afternoon...then becoming southwest
20 to 25 knots early in the afternoon. Gusts to 35 knot gales.

10 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then veering
to the northwest 5 to 10 knots early in the evening veering to
the southeast in the late evening and early morning. Waves 2 feet
