For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure crosses Lake Superior while deepening to
29.30 inches today. The associated cold front is on track to move
through Lake Huron and Lower Michigan from late morning in the
north to mid afternoon toward western Lake Erie. The front is
followed by strong westerly wind shifting NW tonight and
increasing to gale force through Tuesday.

.REST OF TODAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots becoming southwest
15 to 20 knots late in the afternoon. Showers likely late in the
morning...then a chance of showers in the afternoon. Waves 4 to
6 feet.
.TONIGHT...Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around
30 knots becoming west 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 35 knot gales
after midnight. A chance of showers in the evening...then a
chance of rain and snow showers after midnight. Waves 5 to
7 feet. Waves occasionally around 10 feet.
.TUESDAY...West winds 20 to 25 knots becoming northwest to
30 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Gusts to 40 knot
gales. A chance of snow showers. Waves 8 to 12 feet. Waves
occasionally around 15 feet.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds to 30 knots with gusts to
40 knot gales decreasing to 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 35 knot
gales in the late evening and overnight. Waves 8 to 12 feet.

.WEDNESDAY...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts to around
30 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots. Waves 5 to 7 feet subsiding
to 2 to 4 feet late in the evening. Waves occasionally around

.THURSDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots backing to the
southeast in the late morning and early afternoon...then
increasing to 10 to 15 knots until early morning. Rain likely in
