433 FZUS61 KCLE 191428 GLFLE Open Lake Forecast for Lake Erie National Weather Service Cleveland OH 928 AM EST Sun Jan 19 2025 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Erie Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... An arctic cold front will cross Lake Erie this evening. A trough averaging 30.10 inches then lingers over the eastern Great Lakes through Tuesday morning. Later on Tuesday through Wednesday, a ridge averaging 30.70 inches builds north over the lake. This ridge begins to exit eastward from Lake Erie Thursday as a low of 29.80 inches moves eastward across the northern Great Lakes and vicinity, and drags a cold front toward Lake Erie.
