641 FZUS54 KLCH 051736 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 1235 PM CDT Tue Aug 5 2025 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-060600- 1235 PM CDT Tue Aug 5 2025 .Synopsis for Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 NM including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays... Light and variable winds will continue across the coastal waters today as a weak frontal boundary remains stalled near the coast. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will also be possible with the boundary in the area. The weak front will lift north Wednesday with high pressure nudging back in from the east. This will produce a light onshore flow into the weekend.
