554 FZUS54 KLCH 200537 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 1236 AM CDT Wed Aug 20 2025 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-201800- 1236 AM CDT Wed Aug 20 2025 .Synopsis for Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 NM including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays... A weak pressure pattern will be found over the northwest Gulf through the end of the week. This will allow for light and variable winds along with low seas. A trough will move toward the coast from the north on Thursday stalling along the coast on Friday. This trough will help bring an increase in chances for showers and thunderstorms during any time of day through Friday.
