This led to clear to partly cloudy skies and light northeasterly and easterly winds across western and north central Nebraska. Overnight lows were generally in the mid to upper 50s across the area. High pressure will track east and southeast today, shifting the winds to the south across Nebraska. Temperatures will remain unseasonably cool as a frontal boundary remains off to the west and south of the area. In addition, cloud cover and the threat for isolated rain showers will limit the warm up as well. Highs this afternoon will be in the 70s which is 10 to 15 degrees below normal for late June. Later tonight, thunderstorms will initiate off the higher terrain of eastern Wyoming and Colorado. This activity is expected to weaken as it pushes east into western Nebraska. Another area of thunderstorms may develop overnight tonight from southwestern into central and south central Nebraska. Lows tonight will be in the lower to middle 60s. Severe thunderstorms will be possible across the area on Monday as the frontal boundary off to the west tracks into central, then eastern Nebraska. Highs on Monday will range from the upper 70s in the O`Neill area, to the upper 90s in far southwestern Nebraska. $$
