.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low through much of the upcoming
forecast.

Temperatures will favor near to slightly above normal values
through the middle of next week. Simultaneously, increased
mugginess will preclude afternoon humidity minimums from falling
to critical levels.

Rain and thunderstorm chances will dot the forecast, focusing
Independence Day across central and eastern Nebraska then again
daily Sunday through Wednesday for much of the region. Potential
for wetting rains (> 0.25") appears reasonable, with
approximately a 50 percent probability Friday and around 20 to 30
percent potential each day Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
