.DISCUSSION...
In a post-frontal environment, expect winds to gradually veer to
the northeast as this boundary continues to push well south of the
local area. Expect winds to remain fairly steady state over the
next hour or two before beginning to subside. By Midnight CDT,
gusts should largely remain in the 20 to 25 mph range and further
fall below 20 mph by early Saturday morning. The incoming cooler
air will allow humidity to fall quickly through the overnight,
surpassing 60 percent by 1am CDT and reaching 80 percent around
daybreak Saturday. Lows tonight will fall to around the freezing
mark.
Surface boundary will provide the focus for thunderstorm activity
well to the south and east and is not expected to impact your
location. Precipitation will likely arrive from the west towards
sunrise on Saturday in the form of rain. Precipitation chances
will be steady through the bulk of the day Saturday with QPF
likely approaching 0.75" across central Cherry County for the
event through Sunday. Afternoon highs on Saturday will only reach
the upper 30s to lower 40s and combined with the expected
precipitation, will hold humidity values 80 percent for most if
not the entire day.
