.DISCUSSION...
Widespread critical fire weather conditions are expected today
across all of western and north central Nebraska. Winds will be
breezy, gusting up to 35 mph to 40 mph near combining with minimum humidity
values bottoming out in the 10 to 20 percent range. The Red Flag
Warning continues across all of western and north central
Nebraska through 9 PM CT this evening.
Temperatures fall back to near normal in the 70s on Sunday before
moderating back into the 80s through next week. Critically low
humidity values are expected each day for portions of the Panhandle
and western Sandhills, with near-critical values expected elsewhere.
Given this, elevated to near-critical fire weather concerns exist
each day, however, winds appear light enough to preclude a serious
threat of Red Flag.
