.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain limited this weekend, as temperatures
remain around seasonal. While minimum humidity values drop around
25 percent this weekend, winds remain relatively light, generally
at or around 10 mph.

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible
Monday and Tuesday, as temperatures climb into the upper 60s and
70s across western and north central Nebraska. Minimum humidity
values range from around 15 to 25 percent on Monday, recovering to
around 70 percent overnight, and dropping to around 20 to 25
percent on Tuesday. Southwesterly to westerly winds pick up on
Monday afternoon, most notably across the eastern Panhandle and
western Sandhills, where gusts of 25 to 30 mph are possible. On
Tuesday, peak gusts of 20 to 25 mph out of the west-northwest will
be possible, with highest gusts expected north of Highway 2.

Mid to late week, fire weather concerns again become limited,
largely driven by near daily chances for precipitation across
western and central Nebraska. Along with precipitation chances,
temperatures return to near seasonal, with afternoon humidity
values remaining above 35 percent across the region.
