Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
222 AM CDT Sat Jun 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low through the week, largely due to
recent rainfall and green up. As a cold front tracks through the
region late tonight, it will bring gusty northwest winds that are
expected to last through Sunday evening. Peak gusts of 25 to 30
miles per hour are expected. Sunday evening, a ridge begins to
track into the region, bringing a gradual warm up through mid
week. By late week, the upper level pattern becomes more active,
bringing additional chances of showers and thunderstorms late
week into the weekend.
