Through 1000 am, isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue to
wax and wane across Florida Bay, the Upper Keys, eastern Hawk
Channel, and the eastern Straits of Florida. This activity will
continue moving to the northeast at 5 to 10 knots. Mariners
encountering the stronger portions of this activity can expect
reductions in visibility in areas of heavy rain, wind gusts of 20 to
25 knots, and a few lightning strikes. On land, some communities of
the Upper Keys may see rainfall amounts of anywhere from a trace to
near a tenth of an inch.
