.NOW...
Through 800 am, a cluster of scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms along an outflow boundary pushing off the Florida
Mainland will increase in coverage and intensity across portions of
the Middle and Upper Keys, as well as the adjacent coastal waters of
the Florida Bay, Bayside waters, Eastern Hawk Channel, and the
eastern Straits of Florida out to 20 nm. Movement of this activity
will be somewhat chaotic, but generally to the south at 5 to 10
knots. Mariners encountering the strongest of this activity can
expect blinding downpours, wind gusts near 20 knots, and a few cloud
to surface lightning strikes. Island communities between Marathon and
Tavernier can expect to see up to an additional half of an inch of
rainfall.
