Light winds at the surface are still seeing variability in
direction, but just above the surface we will continue to see a
west to northwesterly flow as Major Hurricane Erin continues to
follow a northward track and move farther away from the Bahamas.
Lower level moisture will continue to support a chance for
rainfall, but dry air aloft will limit vertical development and,
ultimately, thunderstorm formation. Even with drier air, RH values
at the surface will still sit above 60 percent, and fire weather
concerns will remain low.
