.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 227 PM EST Fri Feb 7 2025
While the prevailing wind direction has remained easterly, there
has been a northeasterly component in the lower levels as the
heart of our dominating high pressure has shifted slightly. This
northeasterly component has resulted in a cloud line stretching
along the island chain, so some sunshine may be obstructed at
times as we head into the late afternoon and early evening hours.
The clouds should give us a nice canvas for a beautiful sunset,
but let`s be honest, there is no such thing as a bad sunset in the
Florida Keys. As of the time we are writing this, neither our
KBYX or the radar in Miami have shown any shower activity, so this
may just be a dry cloud line that will dissipate by tonight.

The ridging pattern that has helped to keep our weather mostly
quiet will continue, and will help to deflect any approaching
fronts from our area. Guidance suggests that elevated winds over
our waters tomorrow may cause some speed convergence tomorrow, so
we will keep the dime pops for then. Otherwise, we will continue
to sit in this unremarkable pattern with dry conditions, and
temperatures just above normal.

.MARINE...
Issued at 227 PM EST Fri Feb 7 2025
A series of high pressure systems will continue to push across
the eastern United States and into the western North Atlantic
during the next several days. This will result in mainly gentle to
moderate easterly breezes, with fresh breezes possible at times
in the Straits of Florida. Breezes will tend to peak in the
overnight periods, then lull in the daytime hours.
