.DISCUSSION....Another day of surface high pressure will exist today
but a weak, dry cold front will cross through the area this
afternoon. The area will remain dry through cold frontal passage
but behind the front, colder air will filter into the region for
tonight and again for Thursday night. Also, drier air will be
advected into the region leading to afternoon minimum RHs this
afternoon to be around 47% but behind the front, Thursday
afternoon`s minimum RHs will fall to around 37%. Friday will see
similar conditions as upper-level ridging and warm air advection
builds into the region. However, a shift away from dry weather
conditions will begin for Saturday afternoon as a cold front
brings wetting rain through the weekend. A widespread 1.00" with
locally higher amounts possible across the Bluegrass areas through
Sunday afternoon. Surface high pressure returns for Sunday and
the start of next week.
