Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
657 AM EDT Sun Jun 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...We`ll have warm and humid weather again today.
However, an approaching cold front will bring thunderstorms
to some locations, with the greatest probability in south
central and southeast KY. A few storms could produce strong
wind gusts. A short-lived break from the heat and humidity is
forecast behind the cold front on Monday, only to be quickly
followed by a return of sultry conditions. An active period
with showers and thunderstorms is forecast from Wednesday
through Friday. The greatest probability for showers and
thunderstorms appears to be on Thursday, Independence Day.
Heat indices will return to near 100 for many locations during
this time.
