Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky...UPDATED
National Weather Service Jackson KY
320 PM EDT Sun Mar 9 2025

...Dry Afternoon RH Through Midweek...

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will keep fair weather and a dry low-
level air mass in place through Tuesday while temperatures
moderate to well above normal. This will result in critical RH
values during afternoon periods for the next several days, but
will be accompanied by light winds, at least through Monday. A
period of near-critical fire weather conditions is possible
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons as south to southwesterly winds
increase ahead of a weakening weather system which passes through
the area on Thursday.
