Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
612 AM EDT Mon Aug 11 2025

.DISCUSSION...High pressure departs today allowing humidity levels to
surge ahead of an approaching upper-level trough and surface cold
front. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected
today with more widespread activity from Tuesday through Thursday.
Rain chances diminish later in the week as a typical hot summer
pattern returns with just a small threat of isolated pop-up showers
and thunderstorms.
