Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
450 AM EST Fri Nov 28 2025

...Very Low Relative Humidity In Some Locations Saturday...

.DISCUSSION...High pressure passing east through the region
will bring continued dry weather through the day Saturday,
with low afternoon relative humidity, especially on Saturday.
Sunshine today will allow for fairly deep mixing and access
to transport winds aloft. Increasing clouds on Saturday
will limit mixing, which will also limit transport winds
despite increasing flow aloft. The increasing clouds and flow
aloft will be brought about by the next storm system which
will affect the area. A low pressure system moving northeast
over the Midwest will send a cold front toward us from the
northwest on Saturday night, with the front passing through
on Sunday. The front will bring rain and possibly a bit of
snow to the area, but amounts of either one will be light.
More significant precipitation is possible with another
storm system in the Monday night-Tuesday time frame.
